This one of a kind cherry burl vase was made from a piece of burl (the knobby wart on the side of a tree) harvested from a fallen cherry tree in Mercer, Maine. The holes (voids) in the side of the vase are bark inclusions where bark had grown in and around the grain of the burl.
This is a great show piece or decoration for any part of the house (probably not a good vase for live flowers with water due to the holes :) )
The vase measures just over 6 inches tall and about 5 inches wide at its widest spot. The opening at the top measures about 3.5 inches wide.
